Option 1: Set up/Tear Down Team
These volunteers are responsible for helping LifeServe Blood Center staff set-up and tear down the blood drive area. These volunteers will help ahead of the drive and then again after:
*Greet LifeServe staff 45 minutes prior to the drive start time at a pre-determined location. For theStone Church, this would just be the main entrance!
*Help LifeServe staff wheel equipment to the blood drive location from the entrance to the Iowa room.
*Help set up the canteen area.
At the conclusion of the drive, do it in reverse and help staff members wheel the equipment back to the cube truck.
Option 2: Snack Area (Canteen) Team
Once a donor is finished enjoying their snack and refreshment, these team members will help:
*Thank donors for donating. Seeing a friendly face afterwards goes a long way in making their visit a good one!
*Remind donors to sign up for the next drive.
*Ensure donors get a snack after donating.
**Volunteers are welcome to bring their own baked goods as an extra thank you to donors if wanted!
*Watch for donors who may not feel well. If a donor does not feel well, these team members will encourage them to lay their head down and inform a LifeServe representative as quickly as possible.
*Keep snack area clean and stocked. Help ensure donors take a snack or sit for 10 or so minutes.
